The following is an RFP (Request for Proposal) for the building of a toolkit, agents, and applications that leverage LLMs to allow capital allocators to design their programs with custom mechanisms, learnings, and execution plans.
☹️ Problems
- Information and case studies are silo’d and don’t connect into broader system
- Those who ideate mechanisms are disconnected from building
- Many mechanisms outside Allo, even in Ethereum, and other ecosystems are left outside data & conversations
- Often current taxonomies pose large UX overhaul for understanding what is relevant to a particular round manager
- Even through consultation, systems for allocation, don’t have appropriate context for designing the best program
- Round managers have a limited toolset often ~ 3 mechanisms they can choose from for their program
- Disconnect between using handbook (Ex; Grants Canvas) and directly drafting and executing a program
- Allo as a protocol is being split between front ends of different MVPs → needs to be a unified attention layer for allocation as a product and an API for other applications to leverage
💫 Overview
At Potlock, we believe in building the open funding stack. Inspired by Gitcoin’s Allo protocol, we believe we can iterate on allocation mechanisms, rather than serving as a router, able to
- break down mechanisms into primitives that can more composably fit together i.e AGENTS
- streamline, improve, and automate these mechanisms through agentic workflows and human evaluation
- aggregate non-allo use cases in and out the Ethereum space to build larger attention layer for allo protocol and speed time to integration
As part of this specification is both a front-end and a multiagent framework for
